For this project, Spring playgrounds developed a playground concept built around one consistent theme rather than a collection of separate elements. The planning process connected major play features with supporting activities that invite movement, role play, interaction, and everyday use. This approach helped shape a playground that feels unified in design while still offering a broad and engaging play experience for different age groups.
Candy Themed Playground Design
Spring playgrounds created a playground in a candy themed concept for mixed age use, with a bright and cheerful design language that gives the space a clear visual identity. The project brings together key play structures, swings, movement elements, imaginative play opportunities, and printed photo panels. Combined, these features form a playful environment with a distinctive look and a varied user experience.

About the Project and the Process
Highlights of the Project
The uniqueness of the project comes from the way the candy theme is expressed across the entire playground. The visual language is playful, recognisable, and full of character, helping the space feel complete and intentional. A particularly engaging feature is the set of printed photo panels with circular face openings, allowing children to step into the illustrated scenes and interact with them in a simple and memorable way.
- A playground for multiple age groups
- A clear and identifiable candy themed concept
- Main play structures combined with supporting elements
- A site that offers different types of play in one place
- A colourful appearance with strong visual character
During the design phase, attention was given to building a playground that supports a mix of activities within one coherent setting. The site includes opportunities for climbing, sliding, swinging, bouncing, balancing, imaginative play, and active movement, allowing children to experience the playground in different ways. Supporting features such as a rose leaf rocker, spring element, toddler swings, basket swing, and photo panels were positioned to strengthen the variety of play and add interest throughout the space.
The concept is based on a candy themed visual language, with pink as the leading colour supported by additional tones and graphic details that enrich the atmosphere. This design approach appears in the shapes of the play equipment, in the colour choices, and in the overall mood of the playground. The final result is a site with a playful identity, light character, and a memorable visual presence.
